the first invention was likely one of the simple machines known today. the lever. invented in the form of a stick used for beating someone or something.

Fire is NOT an invention. It was a natural discovery. The methods for producing fire would, however, be inventions. There is no way the wheel was the first invention. There were many more necessary inventions for predation and manipulation that would have been created first. The wheel would have been so unimaginable for early humans both in form and necessity that there is NO WAY it could have been the first invention.
