  • Every city has its own laws, so I can't tell you the answer unless I know what city you're in. I know about the fireplug law, but I didn't know you couldn't park in front of a mail box.
  • I didn't know about the mailbox, but the fire hydrant yes. Here in my area, it's 15 feet either side of a fire plug.
  • 15 feet for a fire hydrant and the mailbox laws generally do not have a footage. base it on common sense. if the mailtruck cannot reach your mailbox on the street, then its being blocked by someone's illegally parked vehicle. Call the police and they will ticket and tow such a vehicle.
  • Yes there is a law where no person shall park or leave standing any automobile, wagon or other vehicle or obstacle, upon any street, alley, or other place nearer than 15 feet from any fire hydrant or mailbox.
