I don't unless I've seen the coop where the chickens are raised and can see that they are healthy and treated well.

Yes, eggs are vegetarian. They eat no meat at all.

Ovo-lacto-vegetarians will eat eggs, vegans will not. Eggs are not living beings if they aren't fertilized, so most vegetarians see no problem in eating them.

Vegetarians opt out of eating meat for reasons that range from health to religion to the ethical (with regard to animals) to 'saving the planet' (with regard to their ideas about sustainability) to basic posing. . Since they do not have to be government certified they are welcome to eat what they wish, regardless of people's eagerness to play Spot the Hypocrite. . Many vegetarians unknowingly eat meat-based foods and when confronted with the Awful Truth either stop eating them or say, 'screw it, it's good food'. Some eat non-vegetarian foods when the choice is eating or not eating or pleasing mom at Thanksgiving. Some make exceptions for a food they are unwilling to give up. . While vegetarians can greatly inconvenience those who offer to cook family dinners or throw parties I believe that after a certain point people really should be allowed to decide what they put in their mouths. . So if you can't eat my Beef Wellington I will try not to hold it against you as long as you don't explain why no one else present should eat it either.

Eggs are vegetarian. Food products containing eggs, milk, cheese etc. are classed as suitable for vegetarians, it says so on the packet (and i've just gone to check the cheese to make sure). Vegetarians don't eat animals, but the animal products are OK. It's vegans who stay away from animal produce too, that's the difference between them.

Vegan Vegetarians do not eat eggs, fish, chicken or fish. They eat vegetables, nuts and things that are grown . They will not consume any animal products . I simply eat no red meat or anything high in saturated fat .

I don't really consider myself vegetarian. I eat things made with eggs (was never a huge egg eater anyway) and I drink milk, and I eat fish, but no beef, pork, chicken, lamb, ect. The vegans I know don't eat or use anything from an animal. Most vegetarians I know eat only egg whites.
