  • Real, of course. Always real. Fake tree = fake Christmas.
  • fake. pros- takes care of itself, already payed for & at my house, less needles on the floor, the kids can mangle it & it bends back into shape. cons- not as pretty, doesn't smell like a pine tree.
  • fake, no real ones available
  • Fake. The modern ones look pretty good. They are (obviously) re usable, so they pay for themselves after about two seasons. They are easy to put up and take down (don't have to stand in the cold in a tree lot, tie it to the car, cut it up for the trash crew etc), doesn't need water, turn brown or shed needles and more. The only negative is that I feel bad for the tree farmers who have fewer sales, most of whom are local, and instead the money goes to some heathen communist in China. Oh well, they buy our debt, so I guess it all evens out.
  • My parents switched to fake a few years ago (I enjoy their tree-I don't decorate my own place) and its lasted for years and is very pretty and natural looking without any maintenance, water or spontaneous combustion.
