  • I thought the right thing was to suck. (oh i'm thinking of something else)
  • because it's not the popular choice but then again, you're being original! make yourself unique, not like all the copy zombies around you!
  • because usually it requires making a personal sacrifice that most people dont want to do.
  • When you assassinate someone who deserves it, but you get 30 years in jail.
  • Because doing the easy thing doesn't build good character.
  • Because doing the right thing often comes with a sacrifice that most people are not willing to do. If doing the right thing required no pain and no sacrifice whatsoever, I'm sure the world would be better in general. It's too hard. It's too unpleasant, it's inconvenient, it's not what most people want to do.
  • I have often wondered the same thing! I am sorry you are experiencing it also. At the same time, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels like that! Some times I see so many people who are not doing what they should be, yet seem to have it all! And I wonder why I'm the only one that the rules apply to. I don't know the answer to your question, but there is a possability I have pondered: maybe it isn't so much that doing the right thing sucks, but that too many people have decided it's okay not to do the right thing. and maybe they seem happy, but are really misserable. Idk, it's a nice thought though, right?
  • Because you don't wanna.
  • I hope this is just something you heard, and not the way you actually feel. Doing the right thing never sucks! If people can actually set aside their big fat ego's and own self interest for a few moments to be human and do the right thing, the world would be a much better place.
  • Not always , doing the right thing can make you feel good or be a relief from stress.
  • Because you seem to get more by taking unfair advantage. In the short term, that may be so. But eventually doing the right thing always has its reward.
  • It may seem to, but those who do the right thing sleep well at night.
  • Because following a life of principle often goes against your immediate self-interest. +5
  • It doesn;'t
  • don't do the right thing, then it won't suck
  • Doing the right thing doesn't suck at all. If you think it does, you're suffering from a lack of moral character. Doing the right thing for the sake of it BEING the right thing to do, and not for self-aggrandizement, is truly its own reward.
  • because takeing the high road, doing what you know in your conscience is right, good, true, just, and fair is not easy. espically when there are people trying to get you to do bad things, it is much easier to just give in, but more honerable to take the high road and do what is right and fair :)
  • Anything from the Right, inherently sucks.
  • Because that's what creates your beauty little Girl. You may have made a big sacrifice, but as I, you must believe that it will bring good, and at a minimum create a very good friend whom you can confide in..forever! q:) At least that's what I think she is talking about. If not, boy do I sure look like an ass q:)
  • Because it sucks right away, while doing the wrong thing can and most times shows up at the worst possible moment.:):)
