1. There is no meaning to life. There is no underlying plan, no "divine schedule" as to which it must follow. I would suggest you find something you love, and spend as much time on that as you can. Find something in life that you love, something to look forward to, something that you wish you could do forever so that you don't want to die. Life has meaning if you give it meaning, but if you spend your whole life searching for the meaning of life, you will realize this: The meaning of life is to live it, and you just wasted your whole life trying to find the meaning to life. But the meaning of life is no meaning. Give life meaning, find a reason to live. 2. Death is still a big unknown, we do not know what happens when we die, so it is yet to be explained why we do. I would suggest not thinking about death until you get there, and learning about it by doing it, not by speculating what happens. But don't do it right away. For all we know, death could simply be the end, nothing more. Blankness, darkness, nothingness. So live while you still can, have fun while you still have the chance, and stop worrying about life and death, just live in the present and concentrate on living and having fun. You will waste your life if you spend it trying to find its meaning.

You have to make your own point, since there really is no point. And we are a species just like the ants on the ground, we are born, then we expire.

We die because it aids natural selection, and evolution. As for the point of living...the jury is out on that one

we are animals. we make babies to keep our species alive. the purpose of life: eat, sleep, reproduce, survive. the only difference between us and other animals is we know we are going to die. just because we are self aware does not give our lives any more purpose then a cat or something, other then making the future better, but we suck at that because we are selfish and want everything for ourselves now.
