There is no 2012 prophesy! This is just a huge assumption based on the fact that the Mayan calendar,(which was etched on a huge circular stone),ends at the outer edge in the year 2012. There is not ONE SINGLE statement or even suggestion that the world will end at that time on the stone! Why does the calendar end there then? How about because they ran out of rock!? These idiots who are continually predicting the end of the world,(just a few recent examples are the Hale-Bop comet, Y2K, 9/11, and 2012), are weak people who want to be relieved from being responsible for the quality of their own future, it's this, "save me from myself" immature, childish mindset. Grow up already! You have to keep going to work, paying your bills and grow old and die just like the rest of us. Boo freaking Hoo!

can I choose my ex wife? I do not want them to save my son without saving me or someone I trust to give him a good life. and I do not want to save myself without my son because... I am addicted to him. it would be interesting to see how my wife could survive in a post apocaliptic dog eat dog world where there would be noone willing to carry her burden (assuming I get to watch from the afterlife) I also do not choose myself or my son because I trust myself to be able to save us more than I do my government. find some well prepared member of the NRA who is interested in adding a repairman/engineer/inventor to his tribe. my mind would be quite valuable in a postapocaliptic world because I not only know how things work, and how to make things work, but I also know how TO work.

If the 2012 malarky is true (which would be absolutely beyond my comprehension).....I can only say I wouldn't have the merest confidence in the government's ability to do anything to save anyone other than themselves.

I have two children nether of which could survive on their own as they are too young. And i wouldn't want to survive without them as i'm sure my other half wouldn't.

I wouldn't depend on the government to save me or my family, and do what I could to save them all myself. Kind of like everything else.

Since the prophesy says it is the end of the world no one would be saved by the government or anyone else. Kinda stupid question.

Nobody because they would then be a slave to the system that "saved" them and most families would likely kill each other off trying to be the "one" who got to live anyway.
