  • When I saw "HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL" in February, 1959 (at age 9, over 50 years ago), I was so terrified of what I was seeing on the screen, that I ran out of the theater. I wasted my entire 50¢, too! You can watch the entire movie, free, anytime you wish, by clicking here: http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi1840906777/ The trailer is here, and embedded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmgAsLr2bgI +5
  • "The Sound of Music" = for me, pegs the 'scary' scale onna "10"! ;-)
  • prob scariest movie i ever seen was pet cemetary. i was like 12 and i snuck in the theater to watch it. and it scared me to death. its prob the only movie that impacted me like that. not too scary now if i watch it but back then it was easily a 10!!
  • Although it wasn't that scary of a movie, the end of The Blair Witch project where the guy and the girl go into the abandoned house, and all that crazy running up and down stairs takes place and they are eventually killed, certainly was a good pay off. I thought they would walk to the end of the forest, find the road and either find their car again or stop someone and get a lift/ride back to town. We lived in the countryside when we were growing up and there was an abandoned house like that, it used to scare the crap out of us. I would give that ending an 8.
