Buy a "word of the day" calendar, or read a lot. Find a word or two and use it over and over again.

I would highly recommend visiting a library and borrowing and reading as many books as possible. Also read as many magazines and newspapers as you can. Also communicate with well-spoken people as much as you can.

Read widely - choose authors who write well. Read quality newspapers. Use a thesaurus - just sit and flick through it. Try to avoid using the same words repeatedly. If you find you are using the same limited range of vocabulary, then use the thesaurus before you start a conversation, to beome aware of the diversity of terms you could use. Converse on a wide range of topics, and with a wide range of people. Good luck!
