  • Deoends on what you mean by "faster". If you mean as in download speed, which is primarily a function of bandwidth, I'd say not neccesarily. The bandwidth you get will be determined by the narrowest point. If you have a 1.5 Mbit DSL line it won't matter if you connect your computer to it with a 100 Mbit Ethernet or a 11 or 54 or 108 Mbit wireless router.. you're going to move data at 1.5 Mbits, top. On the other hand, if you measure "fast" by crispness of response, as in online gaming, then it is latency, not bandwidth that determines that, and a wireless connection is always going to be slower because of the extra encoding / decoding the packets have to go through.
