5 (I'm pretty sure that's going to be everyone's answer)

I got ((2x+10)/2)-x = (2x/2)+5-x = x+5-x = 5, and I didn't even have to pick a number!

*5*

wouldnt it be easier to say whats 10 divided by 2? doubling a number then halving it and subtracting it cancels it out all together.

The answer is 5. The trick is simple to understand. No matter what number, the result of the operation x+10/2-x cancels out the operation leaving you with 5.
