What do you think of my homemade guitar? (see pictures at the attached flickr link)

It actually does play, I have to perform a song on it with two other people and their homemade instruments on Friday for my intro art final. Stairway to Heaven would be impossible on it, unfortunately, because there aren't enough strings.

We are going to perform a cover of Paul Anka's "Diana." :-]

Yep, it works! I have to perform a song with two other people on it Friday for my art final. I'm going to mic it and run it through some overdrive and reverb and see what happens. I think I may get a piezo pickup in the future and give that a try though! Thanks for your answer.

all you need to do is find some acoustic pickups and strap em on n pluge em in :D (consult google) then get a real cheap amp

Good point. I had to make it for my art class final and play it with two other friends (who also had to make their own instruments) in costume in front of the class. We came in second place overall, and we came in first in the "best instruments" category... youtube gold, I'd say!

Revelations, actually, unless the same quote is used in Ezekiel. I was inspired by Appalachian Naive and lowbrow artists who often used apocalyptic Biblical imagery in their work :-)

Thanks for your answer to my bible question too, by the way, and for being helpful without going on some opinionated tirade. I'm in New Testament class in college that looks at the Bible from a literary critical perspective, and I'm supposed to answer the question I asked. Your answer was very useful to me.

I'm not a Christian, but the amount of Christian bashing on here is absolutely childish and cliche' sometimes. I actually enjoy studying religions and it seems any time I bring up the Bible in a serious question, people jump on me like I'm going to start proselytizing and I have to provide the whole "slow down, I'm agnostic and this is for a class" disclaimer, which is really sort of sad. You seem to be extremely educated when it comes to religion and particularly Christianity, so I always appreciate your input.

It was fun to make. I'm performing today at around 9:15 or so. We wound up writing a 5 minute long shoegaze anthem called "xrayspecs." I'll eventually get around to videotaping myself playing this thing, and I'll put it up and be sure to let you know.
