What's weird about those science fiction is too much of exaggeration of technological myth.What they show,would never be possible in years to come as we are not channelizing our effort in that direction.We are more concerned about the things we have in hand and we won't see anything close to that for next 100 years to come with the present knowledge of technology.Technology now a days might amaze anyone who doesn't deal with it,but those who deal with it,they know their limitations.Trust me,I know exactly where we are at the technology scale. So,I'd say not possible at present.Only the graphics reperesentation is possible which could be used by kids to hit one another virtually with kinetic bombs.
