I remember reading something about this, and no it would not kill someone. It would seriously injure them, but it wouldn't kill. The reason is because of the mass and surface area of a penny being to minuscule to cause death.

Probably not. 1250 ft is not enough distance to build up enough energy. Also the penny has a large surface area for its mass, resulting in a fairly low terminal velocity no matter what height dropped from. +5
