Give every politician a 75% pay cut and make them pay for their own travel and expenses. Stop building up unnecissary weapons. Stop Paying scientist to study cow farts, and like phenomenon. Take all now available funds to ease the tax burden and gov't debt. Give incentives to bring jobs back here instead of out sourcing.Build up companies that produce a good product or service and stop bailing out dying companies. If we must take over said companies, freeze assets of company officers and cut there pay to a reasonable level and put the rest back into the company. see where that puts us.

G'day Philosopher, Thank you for your question. I would look at reducing the size of budget deficit and government debt over time. I would also have a root and branch review of regulations improving in some areas such as financial regulation and cutting red tape. I'd look at common sense health care reform not the current bureaucratic nightmare before the Congress. I would also have a very close look at the tax system and reforming the political system.
