many people believe (including me) before geting clausterohobic... "personal space" would be approximetely an arms width...
-
There was a teacher in high school who walked around with her ruler screeching, "3 feet or 3 days!" to couples who were too "close" (rolls eyes). Three feet to mean the space that should be between them and three days to indicate the amount of time they could expect to spend in detention for being too "close". I do believe 3 feet is the standard for personal space for most people. I cannot recall where I read that--sorry :)

I imagine a bubble around me about 2 ft and anyone encroaching on it is give sharp shrift
-
I'd say about arms length away; maybe 2 1/2 feet.

I can feel the Wife's Peach Fuzz!

I have a personal space bubble?
-
Six feet in all directions should just about do it.

Unless a close and personal friend, then I'd say arms' length in normal social circumstances. If standing in a crowded bus, then of course, comfort level changes considerably to accommodate.
-
oh thats a LARGE bubble i tell thee!

very big.

Im say mine is about an arms length. I work in a prison and I wont let anyone get closer to me than that without my suspicions rising.

Very spacey. I don't know... People who know me would disagree and say I was a very open person, but I feel in myself, I only really tell people what I want them to know, I keep alot to myself. I don't know if that's a bad thing or not... what do you think?

Double arms length. If I'm holding out my arms and they're holding our theirs, I still don't want to be touching. Of course with my loved ones there isn't a space bubble. :-)
