  • 71 mustang, mach 1, 351 cleveland--first time I did 100 mph! Also my first car
  • Yes, I do...my first car was a 1951 Ford 2dr Custom flat head V-8. It was dechromed, lowered, with fender skirts and dual exhaust with glasspacks. It was standard shift with electric overdrive. the overdrive gave it like 6 forward gears. It could do over 70 mph in 1st gear overdrive. 3rd gear overdrive was about 115 mph. My then gf and I had lots of fun in the passion pits on Friday and Saturday nights. (anyone remember what the passion pits were of the 1950s?)
  • I loved my first car! It was a 1970 Ford Cortina MKII 2 door, floor change, aussie assembled. (Most in NZ at the time were boring 4 door models lol). She was metallic bronze. Stolen once but I got her back a few days later (one of the luckier ones to have their car stolen eh!). Had her for 10 years and was really upset to see her go. But she went to a good home :)
  • yes it was Morris standard and i have never seen again. and it may be in other countries.
  • Yes, it was an 89' Chevrolet Camaro IROC that had a Flowmaster dual exhaust with a 350 Engine 3/8" diameter 170,.3, but is was terrible in gas, since it recieved 11 mpg-US 20 L/100 km; 13 mpg-imp, but then again, I use to race it.
  • Yep. Great on gas mileage and was a nice little car. I ran off the road last year and over a hillside in it and it damaged it beyond repair, after four years of having it.
  • Yes. It was a Chevette! I think it cost about $6 to fill the tank at the time and seemed to run forever before it needed a fill-up. It was really cute, but it didn't like going uphill! I remember people sometimes passing me and giving me dirty looks; and I had the pedal to the floor at those times!
  • I still own it, a 1963 beetle with canvas sunroof. +5
