Well, that's hard to say. If you mean a big river, then we've got to go through the woods to get to the river and that leads to town. If you mean a small river, like our creek, then that's a short walk and I'd wind up nearer the road and there's still miles of woods and either the Delaware or the Susquehanna rivers beyond and another town.

Well, let's see here. The closest river is the San Gabriel River. The only forest on the other side of that is a copse of trees. Once you get through those you come to the Vulcan Materials Company Mine. As much as I'd like to take some Thanksgiving dinner to those guys, I'm allergic to ore dust, so I think it's best for me to stay right here and let Grandma come to me.
