Why is that large women are frowned upon as "ugly" in our society yet large men are not (as much as large women)?

We still have a male dominated society.... even if it has improved legally over the last century, social norms are still dragging their feet.

Because we live in a patriarchal society that sees men as subjects and women as objects.
