I think its called the number line, but I have a hard time explaining it:)... You have 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,,0:) If you want to know what 2+2 is you add 2 and get four..12+4...put a one in front of 2 and you add 4 and get 16...What were we talking about again????

Zero. The real part is always real. The imaginary part is always pure imaginary except at zero. They can only be equal if the complex number is zero.

I don't think there's any special name for complex numbers such as 3+3i or 19+19i. They will lie on a line at 45 degrees between the real & imaginary axes.
