I like maroon...it is very nearly the color of burgundy and well, you know, burgundy is da bomb! So nope. If I address anyone as maroon it is a compliment. Any respectable maroon would know that! :)

I used to refer to anybody who didn't agree with me a moron. I picked up that bad habit from my Dad. Then, one day I thought "How good am I?" and I was cured.
