Is it ok to use brake fluid instead of power steering fluid in my car?

No !!! Absolutely not, the two are very different and serve a different purpose. If you have to add anything to your power steering use ATF (automatic transmission fluid). +5

Sure. go for it. The brakes will continue to function. In time the power steering pump will fail and you will build excellent biceps and triceps.
