A "manifest" is a type of cargo document, such as a bill of lading for a railroad or truck, that details the contents of the shipment. (You could look that up.) So when the railroads were invented in 1822 and started regular service to California around 1838, that's when Eastern manufacturers realized that they could start shipping goods as fast as they could write the manifests, hence "Manifest Destiny".
OH that is the load of bs that whitey was divinely ordained to take over America. They felt it was their right to just pillage and plunder and make America their own. I call it divine karma what we are experiencing now in payment.
