  • If the person is locked up I would want to speak to a legal aid lawyer. If the warrant is still outstanding I wonder why there is no extradition back to Florida. How else will he answer the charge without appearing before the judge in the county where the warrant was issued?. Another point is; certain crimes have a statute of limitations where if not arrested or brought before the court within a certain time span the matter is mute. Sounds a bit suspicious to me.
  • If the person was in Fla in 1996 and may have written checks that became dishonored for any reason then perhaps the issue is real and outstanding. Stay out of Florida in such a case. Beyond that if wanting to take care of the matter, get a lawyer.
  • The Ky. Officer ran your record and outstanding warrant checks through NCIC and discovered this information concerning yourself. No extredition means the checks were apparently below the felony amount, which means it would cost more to bring you back to Florida, than the value of the bad checks. you would only be arrested in Florida. If the Officer gave you any information concerning the bad checks, make the call to that business or contact your local District Attorney in the state of Florida.
  • "Need to do?" He should take care of the matter in Florida unless he just wants to be a fugitive for the rest of his life, granted no one seems to be chasing him. This warrant will show up anytime a background check is run.
