Help answer this question below.
Here's my opinion:
1. Mexican illegals: - Yes it was deserved, sarcasm was very hard to read in that one.
2. Teabaggers: - See above.
3-7. Foreign language Q's: - It may sound drastic to some, but I have to agree with the flaggings. It is ok to place words or phrases in another language but within context (for example, in the "Learning Languages" category) Them being completely in another language will merit a flag.
8. "Jameson": - Amusing Q. I wouldn't have flagged it.
9. Mecca: - What if... (I can understand it being flagged)
10. Deceased people: - Looks more like an answer than a question, this isn't "Jeopardy" ; )
11. Duplicate: - Just slightly different. Judgment call, I tend to agree.
12. Dorothy & Eric : Yes, it's nonsense, not even a clue in the category.
Wow, are you serious? 12 questions of yours were flagged? I have to check into this and see why. I'll be back shortly. +4
"Would Mexican illegals be more tolerable if they spoke English (instead of that hideous language of theirs), had fairer complexions, and weren't papists?"

I was being sarcastic at the bigots.
"Will any more teabaggers bring loaded guns to any other gatherings where Obama's at so they can re-sap the Tree of Liberty with the blood of its patriots and tyrants?"

More sarcasm.
These questions seem to confirm that AB, unlike Yahoo! Answers, is a uniligual site.

Seems that Yahoo! Answers was more tolerant of this one than YA

There was a subtle difference in the question I asked, but a difference nonetheless.

Again, if you check the links, you'll find more tolerance--and humour--at Yahoo! Answers.
Note I emailed AB about the first few removed questions, but a few months later, I got no response.
Even Yahoo! Answers gives an automated one.
As for my multilingual questions,
I asked this question, but with limited responses:
"Is Answerbag an "English only" site? (Even Yahoo! Answers has its variations)"
http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1712742
It seems that I jepardized a question by Captain Harley by answering it.
Should I refrain from answering anymore of his questions lest I jepardize them?

"I expalined to a Muslim friend what my coffee was like and how I made it. He threatened to declare Jihad against it! Should I be afraid?"
http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1807852/date_desc
I counted 10 that I would have flagged.
By the way, if you love Yahoo! answers so much, why are you here? Nobody is forcing you to post. As a matter of fact, it's junk like this that makes me avoid Yahoo! like the plague.
Should AB have a disclaimer/caution to hyper sensitive people regarding the questions and answers here?

I don't think there are "adult" profiles on AB. Of course there
is no way to view one, or reason, unless they ask to be friends.

You're reading Of these 12 questions of mine that were flagged, which were deservedly so?
Comments
Thanks for the first straight answer.
I hate to say this, but YA seems to have a greater tolerance for absurdist questions--insofar that I can slip some through.
:-D
by Civic Cat on November 21st, 2009
No problem.
By the way the line between absurdism, and someone flagging it as nonsense is blurry alright. I'm no stranger to that as I've had several Q's of mine that fit the mold getting flagged, while others still remain out there.
