  • I don't think she is highly ranked in the GOP. I think most felt it was a mistake for her to be matched with McCain. No, I don't think she helped. I think some top echelon Republicans thought they needed a woman on the ticket to counter Hillary. It wasn't necessary. Obama did not pick Hillary as a running mate. Or, rather, she was not picked for his running mate by his bosses.
  • The GOP is a dying dinosaur. She merely represents what it has degenerated into; a coillition of religious fanatics and fat cats, fear mongering and "know-nothing" politics at its worst. The US desperately needs a centrist alternative. +4
  • Hurt, most definitely. I really thought Romney represented the party well. I was disappointed to not see him make it to the presidential race. I'm hoping he runs for president in 2012, so we can see how his party will react to him then.
