High School: it seems that the most cunning, manipulative people get the most respect and attention. Is it like this for whole life, or when does it stop?

    The best you can do is not to give them any attention and by doing so you take away some of their "power" away already.

    in my opinion cunning people get respect but "manipulative" people ( when their manipulative personalities are exposed)receive the opposite.

    Only in places wherein things need to get done, do nerds and geeks do well.

    Everything else? Folks like Bu$h, McCain, Palin, etc.

    Not always. If you go to a high school with intelligent kids, they eventually get over it and start to be decent to each other. Or at least that's how it worked at my high school.
