It's ok to carry over a balance to next month. How credit works is that they want to see if you pay on time and how much. Paying off your balance is good for you but not good for the card company because that's how they make their money. The interest on the outstanding balance. Another thing you don't want to do is to pay just the minimum. Always pay at least 2 to 3 times the minimum if you can't pay it in full. Never exceed the total amount of eligible credit by 50%. If you have a limit of 1000 dollars do not go over 500 dollars if you can not pay it off. Or should I say do not carry a balance of more than 500 dollars.
