What can I do with Microsoft Visual Basic? Is there a tutorial online to help me learn the basics?

    I'm not a Basic guy, but MS Office was written in VB.

    If you want to do serious application/OS programming, usually C or C++ is the way to go.

    There are tons of online tutorials, I'm sure; just go to Google.

    Visual Basic is a programming language and software that enables you to write your own code, or in other words lets you program. Its a simple programming language right to the point and is easy to manage. However, it wasn't meant to be used professionally, but some sort of home office use. There are several Microsoft Visual Basic tutorials on the web. Here are a few good ones:

    Visual basic (7) .net or above is a strong programming lanquage. If you want to learn Visual Basic there are many online forums where people share there code and help with problems. You should also familiarize yourself with C# since often times you will find examples in this language. I didn't mention Visual Basic(6) because it is quickly becoming outdated. Hope this helps.
