Its not a small niggle, I find it particularly offensive. I believe strongly that all english dictionaries should incorporate both American and British english at the least. Such spellings for colour, odour and grammer as "will" in place of "shall" have started being accepted only quite recently. I still cannot get over the charm of the old english.

I didn't even know there was a spellchecker, what with all the misspellings here! It would be nice to have the country region spellchecker, like in Word.

Answerbag doesn't have a spellchecker neither does Internet Explorer, but Firefox does. To download a new dictionary go here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3

First...I know that some people get offended when you use Niggle so desist please. Secondly did you not do a double take when you saw the red line under Utilise!
-
Yet it doesn't underline "utelises"...hmmm!

AB has a spell checker??
-
If answerbag has spellchecker it ain't working.

It's not the AB spellchecker. AB doesn't have one. It's the one in your browser and if there are words you think are different for your particular kind of English, you can add those words and it will recognize them as well. THe browser developer is the one that is US based.
