I think anything is possible. It could exist. For all we know this could be it.
Jesus may have gone there to set the captives free...inbetween his death and ressurrection. Its difficult to know if He went there or not.
This is RC doctrine, not Christianity doctrine. No, I don't believe in it because no where in biblical scripture is this taught but of course they teach and believe many things that are not in the bible.
If God is merciful and forgives us of our sins, then what incentive is there for us to resist sin, so long as we repent afterwards?

I like to think of god as the thunder god who teaches Earth Realm warriors to protect us from the forces from the nether realm to give us a fighting chance against Shao Khan and his allies...What do you think of God?

How is it coherent to say, on the one hand, that God has a divine plan, and on the other, to claim that we each have free will?
