I am going to a birthday party, and it is 'C' themed fancy dress. Has anyone got any ideas what I could go as which would be different to what you think others would go as?

    You could go as one of the characters from the Canterbury Tales, or even as Chaucer himself.

    So is it a costume party? A good costume that begins with a 'C' would be the Canterville Ghost. There'll probably be no one else dressed as that.

    I like the carrot one. You could also be a cookie, or the cookie monster..

    Candy? or Candy bar, and bring a ton of those tiny halloween chocolate bars in a little basket.
    Cat, but that one is pretty obvious, same with clown.
    Cartoon charater... Then the choice is up to you...
    Carmen Elecrta and dress like her in one of her strip tease work out vids.

    A "C" themed Fancy Dress party inplies that it's not a "Coke Can Costume" sort of event... If the birthday honoree has a name that starts with a "C", go as him or her in a fancy (or sexy) tuxedo.
    OR
    As a famous woman named:
    Carol (Burnett) -- always in those slinky sparkly Bob Mackie gowns (you can rent similar gowns by the night);

    Coco Chanel -- French fashion designer with a distinctive look and hair style;

    Cher -- if you can pull that off, also wore a lot ob Bob Mackie gowns;

    There are a lot of famous women with names starting with C --

    OOPS! I presumed you were a female, but just saw your moniker "Andyman" -- but still, since it's FANCY DRESS, rather than a costume, you can go as fancier males with 'C' titles or names: a COUNT (Dracula wore a tux!) or a COLONEL (in full regalia) or a CANDIDATE (for president - they wear suits must of the time, wear a sash reading "Candidate for '80" or something fun...) Okay, you get the idea...

  • Go as a giant carrot. Or a giant candle. you could also go as cleopatra or carmen. Infact, got a better idea - open the dictionary and you've got a thousand options.
