You example is how I do it mostly...
.
I used to go to the home page a lot, but haven't since I got over points. The only exception is when I plunder peoples question bag, sometimes randomly, sometimes because a member has caught my interest, mostly because I know it feels cool when some one answers a bunch of your questions.
I look at comments first, then friends q and a checking back in comments if others are about. I used to answer all friends questions but as my friend list got longer,I pick and choose, going back to those less favoured questions if I have time.
I have not asked many friends, I just get asked and always look to see if it is a person I wish to interact with.+5
Do you sometimes answer old questions from the "related questions" section at the bottom of a thread?

That's funny; I do the same thing every now and then. I think it's cool to visit friends Q&A and and answer or comment and give points all at once too! Thank you Reptar@War.
