This is nothing new. Many companies have been working on these type of things for a long time. Almost every time one is tested, the news papers start talking about flying cars, etc. Almost every single one has been proven to be almost entirely economically unviable. In essence, it will be a plane that can drive on roads, rather than a car that can fly.
