Took gas & matches to ant hill... BAD IDEA! :-( :-) Used fly swatters in both hands to combat 'flying ants' sworm... Not a good idea either... Used lit candles to mumifiy spider nests by dripping hot wax & covering them over.... FUN but not very easy...

I once donned a WW2 surplus gas mask and walked around the house spraying japanese beatles with an industrial size can or raid. It didn't work very well(it wouldn't kill them) but it was a good way to kill an hour or so.

great white hunter baits and sprays work great but you have to wait until they kill their food.. So in the meantime stomp down the tracks the night before. they will feed in the early am or on cloudy days. Quietly look for the new tracks they should be plowing ahead once you see movement wait a few moments taking aim use your spade and quickly chop away. be sure to get 3-5 inches down. proudly lay your kill at your door step so your spouse can see it.
