If he does this, it's going to come back and bite him in the ass. I don't think Rupert Murdoch has a complete grasp on how completely the market has changed.
He's not dealing with baby boomers as the target demographic anymore, he's dealing with Gen-X - a generation that grew up on technology / the generation that kick started the internet.
I hope he does it. I want to see him eat crow. Greedy bastard.

I would consider Google a much larger player in the field, Chief. Anyone wanting to take Google on, no matter how deep their pockets are, will have a long fight ahead of them. And Murdoch is not as young as he was for a fight of this kind, I would imagine.
