There is no need to go to a doctor or a medical lab anymore to find a DNA testing kit. Stores such as Walmart, CVS Pharmacy, Kmart and Walgreens are all selling DNA testing kits now for less than $50.00. As of November 2009 Walmart is selling the Identigene home DNA testing kit for $24.64. DNA test kits will typically include cheek swabs, specimen envelopes and a prepaid envelope for you to send your test back to a lab to be completed.

If walking into a store to get a DNA test is something that you don't want to do, you can order a test online. Most companies will send test kits to your home or office in discreet packaging; prices are generally comparable to retail stores. This is a great option if you are seeking anonymity and privacy.
Consider Legal Issues
DNA test kits will include a hotline phone number in each test kit box. That phone number will put you in contact with someone that can refer you to a source for legal information in regard to your DNA testing. Make protecting your legal concerns a priority.
