Options

Adding options to the vehicle will increase its price. Honda also "subdivides" its cars by adding trim packages. These packages (DX, LX, EX) add between $1,000 and $5,000 to the base price. Honda also charges more for automatic transmission models.

Depending on the year, model trim, options, transmission and condition, used Honda Civics may cost as little as $500. Depending on who you are purchasing the car from (private party or dealer) will also affect the price. When purchasing from a dealer, certified Honda Civics carry a higher price than non-certified cars, because of the warranty added to the purchase price.
