I would definitely say Austin, Texas home of the University of Texas. Austin is a rocking town, right in the middle of the state where you can run down to San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas if you get tired of everthing Austin has to offer. They have great school spirit and a huge band that blows you off the stands during football games. I love their mascot too. His name is Bevo, the long horned bull. I hope he is still there! Next I would pick Berkeley, California, home of the Univeristy of California. I don't know that much about that school, only that it is cool.

I thought Boulder was pretty good for the more reflective, arty, off-the-wall, idealistic types. Lots of cafes, bookshops, and meditation sessions to keep you going; and then you can literally walk out from the centre of the town and be in the Rocky Mountain national park in under 30 minutes. A bit of an oasis of tranquility and zip in equal measures. I am sure anyone studying there would have a great time.

I agree with Austin and Boulder. On a smaller scale. I like Danbury, Conn. and Lewisburg, PA.

I would say UC Berkley if you are a hobo.
