  • The concentrated light can burn your irises (sp?) and the optical nerve that takes the information the the brain
  • Have you ever looked at the sun, then afterwards all you can see are bright images of the sun and not much else? That is because you caused a sensory overload on your retina. If you persist in doing it you begin to cause damage to the retina, keep going and you cause permanent damage to the retina. An eclipse is the same thing but more concentrated and quicker. Damage your retina and very likely it will be unable to be repaired. End of sight.
