  • Nah I think it's okay. +5
  • Definately. Of course, there's nothing new about it, but now that every incident is scrutinised in super-slow-motion and the rewards are so high it has become much more of a higher profile topic in the game. It's unfair that referees are criticised for making the wrong call by 'experts' who have the benefit of slow-motion replays from six different angles, when the ref only sees it once as it happens. It all comes down to the honesty (or otherwise) of the players - real football fans know who the culprits are, and until the managers in question show some moral backbone and take action themselves the problem will continue.
  • lol... oh you bet , always has been and always will be. They need to introduce a video ref and each time a player goes down he looks at it , if the video ref say's its a dive then that player gets sin binned for 10 minutes. I bet you would see 90% of dives stop over night
  • Not sure, as I am not an expert on soccer. Do you mean a "body block" as I have seen, occasionally. I would also mention here the "pile dive" tackle in American football. It is obviously an attempt to injure the ball carrier...or at least to cause a release of the ball resulting in a turnover. It is a cheap play and is under criticism. It was used a lot when I was in high school.
  • Were you watching the liverpool birmingham game last night?! ...and yea it kinda is. I think its a part of the game but the penalty should be harsher for those caught out
