i havent. it didnt really effect my speech at all, even when i just got it done. i forget i have it all the time
sometimes. most people adapt to it in their mouth & learn to talk with it.
Just my opinion: I told my 14 year old daughter she could not get these two piercings when she was 16 0r 18..that's the tongue and the belly button. I would totally approve of the nose or lip or even the eyebrow. I know what tongue piercings are for...and no man will stick his penis in my daughters mouth because he thought she had a nice belly button piercing! And tongue piercings cause a lisp and I can't stand them!!
Usually in the beginning because the tongue swells, but it goes away for most. Some people with a small tongue are more likely to lisp with a tongue piercing.
I don't know that I'd call it an "impediment", but most people will have a temporary problem with slurring speech and something that sounds a lot like a lisp. I do know a few people that have this piercing that that problem never went away. They always sound like their tongue is swollen.
I'm thinking off getting my tongue pierced and I'm wondering about what it's like, anyone who's had it done, care to share? Thank you.
