I prefer football (American, not soccer) but don't have a favorite player.

We here have a local minor league independent team. While I do root for our team, I think it is so great when anyone from ANY team makes it to the majors. One of the players from an opposing team had a former player in this years MLB playoffs. I won't hate anyone from the opposing team, wish them all well -- except for when they play my boys. ;-) LOL
