    coolant leaks into the crank case the cooling system is pressurized, if pressure is lost the coolant doesn't flow to the radiator properly and get a chance to cool if you need more info reply by adding a comment below

    Or, exhaust gasses are injected into the cooling system, causing overheating. OR, coolant leaks into an oil gallery, causing coolant loss, higher friction, and overheating.
