So many movies set in the future depict it as very dark. Do you believe that the world will be as dark and depressing as the movies predict? Why or why not?

I think if you compare any era with another it'll seem "dark" or not. I.E. the 50's were dark compared to the 60's and the 70's were just Brown! But I think thefuture will be brighter - hows that for optimism? lol

In the next 50 million years or so,the sun will turn red as it uses the end of it,s nuclear fuel and slowly dies,the earth won't get much darker for many years though,eventually we will use all the fossil fuels up and either perish or adapt with clean products,,,or maybe the Yellowstone volcano will erupt and make the earth 2-3 degrees cooler by blocking out the sun for a few years,,I guess we'd be in a true dark age then.
