ddec code 43 coolant level low.check the coolant level sensor by unplugging and jumping the plug w/ a paper clip.
There is 2 fuel lines in back of the engine coming out of the head,The one on the right side is your return line,in that line there is a inline check valve,you need to replace it. It cost about 95 dollars.

you have a check valve in back of head and it can get gummed up over time. change thew check valve so you won't be loosing prime after sitting for a while
It sounds like you are loosing your prime on your fuel. I would check all lines for leakage and all fittings for cracks or looseness. Hope this helps.

You're reading I have a 1999 freightliner detroit diesel 60 series 12.7L, sometimes when I shut the truck down and let it sit for a few minutes and try to start it, it will not start. but it will start with starting fluid, or it will start by a push start. codes 42,43
