To stuff a futon mattress, stack layers of factory-cut (twin, full and queen sized) cotton batting until the desired thickness is achieved. If stuffing the mattress with shredded cotton batting, use 38 to 45 lb. for a twin, 48 to 55 lb. for a full and 59 to 75 lb. for a queen.
