When shopping for a new car, there are certain times when you can get a better deal than you would otherwise get on a normal day. Certain times of the year, salespeople are more anxious to get a sale and will give you a better deal on a new car. Generally speaking, fewer people shop on holidays so business will be slower at a car dealership. Most salespeople will try to salvage the day by offering low prices and discounts to the customers that do come in. Weekends are usually the busiest time to go to a car dealership. The salespeople know that there are many more customers to sell to if they cannot get a sale from you. So go in the beginning of the week when there are fewer customers and the salespeople will be more likely to offer you a better deal. Every month, salespeople have a quota of cars they need to sell. During the last week or so of the month, if they have not met their quota, they will be anxious to get a sale and will offer many discounts and rebates to get that sale. Whenever a newer model of a certain car comes out, dealers try to clear out their inventory of the previous model to make room. This can mean big discounts on last year's model.During holidays
