  • I feel that they are the root of all evil, all those millions going to waste on people killing themselves for themselves. It is greed where the money could be used to aid Africa and other such causes.
  • Smokers are people. Smoking is disgusting.
  • I'm really, really glad I mustered up the will power to quit and stay off them. I smell much better now and I can taste my food. I started smoking when I was 15. By the time I was about to hit 22, I decided to stop.
  • Smoking is bad habit smokers acquire.
  • i think smoking is just a way to waste money smokers smell disgusting smoking stains your teeth ughh...
  • I don't smoke, but I have nothing against people who do. It's a personal choice.
  • I smoke, I wish I never started 27 years ago...I feel bad for non smokers who put up with us smokers. I try not to smoke around others to be thoughtful. I think it is a waste of money. and addicting . I
  • cigarettes? not so much... other... well, you know me :p
  • I really can't say, seeing as how I used to BE one.
  • Smokers are just people; most of them recognize that starting smoking was not the best choice they ever made, but quitting is hard. I do find the smoke quite irritating if I have to be exposed to it, but here in CA the law is pretty restrictive and it's much less common to receive 2nd-hand smoke than it used to be. (I was a smoker myself until 1984). My real harsh judgment isn't for the smokers, it's for the tobacco companies and their key investors: these are the people making money off of the lies, reaping the rewards from causing suffering and health costs for others. These companies have no conscience, as far as I can see -- they've engaged in multi-decade campaigns of deception and misinformation, there's even evidence that they've contributed to the global warming disinformation campaigns as a way to legitimize their own "junk science" on tobacco safety. It's pretty hard to find anything nice to say about tobacco companies, except "well, they do provide some jobs". That's kind of like congratulating the Devil for providing a warm workplace environment.
  • Smoking may harm the person who is smoking, but the bad thing is that other people surrounding that person inhale that toxic smoke in their lungs. I don't have much to opinion besides the fact its harmful.
  • Smoking for some people is enjoyable and relaxing. They know the bads of it but choose to do it anyway. It's their choice. It is highly addictive and very hard to kick. Doesn't bother me if they smoke.
  • Of course smoking is bad for you. But as a smoker, I have to say that it has also enhanced my life in a great number of ways. It is one of the few really effective ways I've found to manage my stress and anxiety. Cigarette breaks break down the day into more easily manageable chunks of time, making me more productive. I've met many wonderful people who I probably never would have had I been a non-smoker. It makes me feel rebellious. Last, but not least, it is an incredibly enjoyable activity all on its own. That said, I'm sad that one day in the near future I'll have to think about quitting.
  • well if ppl want to smoke its their own choice but i dont want to be around them when they do becuase the smell really bothers me and second hand smoke can be really dangerous.
  • Let them smoke. It's no secret that there are negatives to smoking.
  • Nasty, harmful, expensive, smelly habit that's hard for those addicted to kick.
  • Smokers pay a lot of money in tax, to stand outside in the cold and be treated like second class citizens.
  • As a smoker I can tell you it pretty much totally sucks (yet is also somewhat enjoyable too...)
  • i dont but other than that i dont really have an opinion.
  • I used to be a chain smoker but gave up about 8 years ago. It is not something I like but I also do not like Born again Non Smokers who are constantly being rude about those that still smoke.
  • If anyone tries to make me give it up again, I'll have their hand off!! ;þ
  • i used to , i don't anymore, people who do, it's their business as long as it's not in public buildings , like court houses or post offices. i think otherwise the government should go back to protecting our borders and leave it's citizens alone
  • People ought to lay off. Smokers aren't as bad as child molesters, rapists, terrorists, murderers, thieves, animal abusers, drunk drivers, crooked bankers and CEOs, drug dealers, or pick pockets. But they are often treated worse than all 10 of those.
  • It's a personal decision that should be left to the individual. Regarding the laws against smoking inside a business, I think that decision should be left in the hands of the business owner. It's crap that there are laws against it.
  • Wish i didn't, but i have been for 40 years. Still healthy. only half a pack a day. I have been blessed with good health. My mother is 92 and smokes a pack of Winston every day.
  • Lung cancer is bad, really, really bad. But, as long as I'm not forced to smoke (2nd hand) along with him/her - they can smoke if they want.
  • Quiting is hard....NOT quiting is harder.
  • It's brilliant thing! it keeps the oncology department of my hospital very busy indeed. In fact one of these days I'm sure that I will be removing a brain tumor and as I lift it out, it will have a wrapper with "Marlborough!" written on it..
  • I think it is a very bad habit & an expensive & unhealthy one.
  • Smoking Tobacco contains POISIONS that can cause various diseases .. and the 2nd hand smoke is twice as bad .... Also; for those Males who don't know ; Smoking Tobacco , like Marijuanna ... CAN do damage to the vesssels in the groin , Testicles, and the Penis ... even causing them to SHRINK or/and IMPOTENCE .....
  • its very stupid and i dont get it it is now $8 a pack here in ct it is dirty it makes your teeth and fingers yellow contributes to heart disease, emphysema, and if you are pregnant and smoke fuggedabout it not to mention the fact you can barely walk up a flight of stairs and running fuggedabout it but it is a good source of tax revenue so lite up johnny your are saving me money
  • It's a form of social Darwinism put into practice. The stupid should not survive.
  • If you want to smoke go for it. If im drunk I hope you share!
  • It is the most disgusting habit there is...and i really should stop but its hard:)
  • Its a bad habit and can cause serious health problems. I use to smoke for 15 years, now I'm smoke free for 10 years.I encourage everyone to stay away from it, not because I quit smoking but I seen and heard to many horror stories. It just not worth gambling with you life. As I like to say ;if you don't want problems don't go looking for problems.
  • Pretty terrible. I am very sensitive to smoke. I have to pass through a pack of smokers whenever leaving my office. It's a bit of a pain that I have to hold my breath just to get to a point of fresh air. Now I know a bunch of you are going to be like, oh, poor baby... fair enough I suppose, but I wasn't always this sensitive. I worked in a smokey club for a number of years and at first it didn't bother me, but after a while I'd find myself spending a few minutes at the end of each night coughing like crazy. I'm glad that it's illegal to smoke at clubs now in Toronto. Also, when my wife got pregnant, she obviously had to quit. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. A grown woman crying her eyes out, smoking while pregnant because she didn't have the will power to quit. Luckily she eventually did quit, but it was a pretty horrible ordeal. Lastly my grandfather died of lung cancer. So you could imagine that I don't hold cigarettes in a very positive light.
  • Its a bad habit for sure, but I luv it =)
  • An expensive habit that's only going to keep getting more expensive.
  • A selfish, disgusting habit. Why in the world would you want to introduce crap into your lungs and make the ones surrounding you pay for it?
  • People can do whatever makes me happy... It's none of my business... Hope this helps... :D
  • I think its so good with some alcoholic beverages.
  • Your health is going to go down the toilet and so are your youthful looks.
  • My dad was a slave to the habit for all of my life. No matter how many times he tried, the weed always got its hooks back into him. I won't even consider the stuff!
  • That it is very bad for a person's health, that it is a smelly & addicting habit, & that cigarettes are very high in cost & money could be spent on better things.
  • I don't care too much, although I hope it doesn't kill any of my family members - my grandmother and my mother both smoked/smoke regularly.
