    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

On average, an animator's salary can range from the mid-$30,000s to around $70,000, depending significantly on level of experience and location. A typical animator will generally earn close to $50,000 a year. These figures are established for most of the sketcher titles, such as cartoonists and computer animators.

Computer animators working in compositing usually make $43,000 in the United States. Their animation salary is higher than the 3d artists because they do most of the “grunt work”: layering scenery and characters and making the different layers interact.
